Gemma Shaw School of Dancing

The Gemma Shaw School of Dancing was established in January 2009. Although in its embryonic stages, the school already offers several classes to a large number of pupils.  Classes take place in Brant Broughton village hall in Lincolnshire.

The School works with the British Ballet Organization (BBO) and offers pupils the chance to take examinations.

Pupils are required to wear the BBO uniform which can be purchased from Gemma Shaw.

Gemma Shaw began dancing at the age of 3 under the instruction of Shan Jones in Nottinghamshire.  Gemma is trained in Ballet, Tap and Modern and achieved examinations to a high level with the British Ballet Organization.

Completing her Teaching Diploma with the British Ballet Organization in 2008, Gemma Shaw set up the dancing school to share her passion and knowledge of dance to children in the local community.

A chance to perform!

Pupils have the chance to perform in the Brant Broughton Fun Day. This is a great opportunity to share their hard work with friends and family and the local community.

Gemma Shaw School of Dancing will be staging an end of year Christmas Performance on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th December 2010.  Look out for further details in the forthcoming months!

Additional Opportunities

The school also holds ‘Day’s of Dance’ during school holidays.  These are fun days offering pupils the chance to learn something different.

About Us

Vocal Coach – Becky Vaughan

Becky Vaughan began studying music from an early age and has passed numerous examinations in both piano and singing.  She has recently successfully passed her grade 8 piano.  Currently working towards her Music Diploma, Becky also teaches piano privately as well as working part-time at Trent Valley Academy in Gainsborough.  Here Becky teaches singing and piano to all ages both individually and in groups.  She has assisted with various school productions and has a particular passion in Musical Theatre.
